Loot Chests

Solarpunk loot chest reference for chest families, possible item links, exploration planning, and Treasure Hunter achievement cleanup.

Loot chests matter because they turn exploration into material progress and feed the Treasure Hunter achievement. Treat them as airship-route targets, not random side objects.

How Chest Loot Rolls Work

  1. If a chest is configured as fixed loot, the game returns the fixed inventory directly.
  2. Otherwise the chest starts from empty return slots and verifies that its normal loot table is not empty.
  3. The game can fill one special slot by making a weighted pick from the special loot table.
  4. For normal slots, the game walks the loot slot chance list. A chance value of 100 or more is guaranteed; lower values roll a random number from 1 to 99.
  5. When a slot succeeds, the game uses a weighted loot-slot pick and copies that item and drop amount into the returned inventory.

The table below lists the confirmed possible item pools. It does not invent exact percentages because the available game data confirms item pools and roll structure, but not the exact slot odds or stack amounts.

What Is Known

  • The item pools below are confirmed for the listed chest families.
  • Exact slot chances, item weights, and stack amounts are not available in the cleaned player data.
  • This page lists possible items and roll structure instead of guessed percentages.

Cleanup Advice

  • Pair chest hunting with airship exploration so each trip has a route, storage plan, and repair margin.
  • Track opened chests while working on Treasure Hunter instead of trying to remember them later.
  • Unload high-value materials into labeled storage before starting the next island loop.

How To Use This Reference

Loot chests are an exploration checklist. Open them while you are already flying for plants, crashed parts, or winter routes, then store the results by use: tools, power, food, airship, and raw materials. That makes Treasure Hunter cleanup much less painful.
