How To Use This Reference

Upgrade tools when gathering time becomes the bottleneck. A better pickaxe or axe is worth more when you are actively mining, chopping, or clearing building space; it is less urgent when research, storage, or food is the current blocker. The Build Hammer is different because it also improves movement through stairs, bridges, and foundation work.
