Co-op and Inventory
Solarpunk co-op guide for invite codes, pings, separate inventories, shift-click transfers, stack splitting, shared storage, roles, and trip planning.
Co-op should reduce chores, not multiply clutter. Pings, online invite-code UI, fast transfer, and stack splitting make shared sessions much easier to organize.
Co-op Roles
| Role | Best Tasks |
|---|---|
| Farmer | Food, water, fields, and animal care. |
| Power lead | Generators, batteries, cable routes, and logic blocks. |
| Builder | Storage, bridges, foundations, rooms, and decorations. |
| Explorer | Airship trip goals, loot return, and new resources. |
| Automation lead | Transport drones, sprinklers, and machine routing. |
Inventory Habits
- Hold Shift while clicking to transfer items faster.
- Right-click to split item stacks.
- Use a trip-return chest so airship loot gets sorted before the next project starts.
- Keep shared storage by job: food, building materials, machine parts, animal care, and airship returns.
Communication
Use pings for resource locations, danger, and build targets. In a floating-island game, clear pings prevent everyone from flying to a different vague spot.
Session Setup
Before a co-op session starts moving fast, choose one shared drop-off chest, one food-and-water owner, one power owner, and one exploration owner. That sounds rigid, but it prevents the common failure where every player half-finishes a different machine path and nobody has food, batteries, or enough organized materials for the next airship trip.
